Hey Dragons & Dragon Riders! Today we will talk about all the troops present in COC. Troops are used to attack the enemy bases. COC has 3 classes of troops: Elixir Troops, Dark Troops & BB Troops. Elixir & Dark Troops are trained in the Home Village and BB Troops in Builder Base. Each troop has its unique way of targeting and attacking. Read the following sections for their details.
Troops in Home Village
Home Village’s Troops take time to train. Training time is different for each troop. How many barracks have that troop unlocked affects the training time too. How many troops you can take depends on the troops’ housing space and the army camps’ capacity. You can boost the troops training by 4x via gems or training potion.

Barbarian
Barbarian is the first troop of COC. His housing space is 1 and movement speed is 16. He attacks the nearest building or ground unit with his sword from 0.4 tiles. He has low HP & DPS. You can upgrade the Barbarian to level 10.
Archer
Archer’s housing space is 1 and movement speed is 24. She fires arrows at the nearest building or troops (Ground & Air) with her bow from 3.5 tiles away. She can also attack the targets which are on the other side of the walls if the target is in her attacking range.
Goblin
Goblin is a melee-attacker. His housing space is 1 and movement speed is 32. Goblin only targets the resource buildings like gold mines, elixir collectors, clan castle, storages etc. He attacks the nearest resource building from 0.4 tiles and deals the double damage.
Giant
Giant’s housing space is 5 and movement speed is 12. He only targets the nearest defensive building and attacks from 1 tile away. He ignores all other buildings, CC troops & heroes. He has high HP to take the damage and defend the damage dealers.
Wall Breaker
Wall Breaker’s housing space is 2 and movement speed is 24. Wall breaker carries a bomb. He only targets the walls. When you drop a wall breaker, it runs to the nearest wall which is blocking the way and then explodes, dealing 40x damage of its original damage to walls within 2 tiles radius. It also has a death damage which triggers when anyone kills it.
Balloon
Balloon is an air troop. Its housing space is 5 and movement speed is 12. It only targets the defensive buildings. When you drop a balloon, it goes to the nearest defensive building and drops the bombs on it. The bomb deals an area splash damage within 1.2 tiles radius. It also deals the damage in the same area when destroyed.
Wizard
Wizard’s housing space is 4 and movement speed is 4. He has high damage but low HP. He attacks the nearest building with his magical flames from 3 tiles away. His attacks deal area splash damage within 0.3 tille radius.
Healer
Healer’s housing space is 14 and movement speed is 14. She is an air troop. She heals the ground units every 0.7 seconds in 1.5 tiles. She can heal the troops from 5 tiles away. Her healing stats are different for troops and heroes. You can upgrade her to level 7.
Dragon
Dragon is an air-unit. Its housing space is 20 and movement speed is 16. Dragon breathes fire at the nearest target. It can attack both air & ground units. Its attack has an area splash effect in 0.3 tile radius.
P.E.K.K.A
P.E.K.K.A’s housing house is 25 and movement speed is 16. She has high HP as well as damage but low attack speed. She targets the nearest building and attacks it with her sword from 0.8 tiles away. She can only attack a single ground unit.
Baby Dragon
Baby Dragon is an air troop. Its housing space is 10 and movement speed is 20. It throws fireballs on the nearest building from 2.75 tiles away. Its attacks deal damage in an area of 0.3 tiles radius. When there is no other air unit within 4.5 tiles radius, its damage increases to double and attack speed increases by 50%.
Miner
Miner’s housing space is 6 and movement speed is 32. He attacks the nearest building with his shovel from 0.5 tiles away. He moves underground and only comes out to attack the unit. While moving underground, no one can target or attack him and traps are not triggered by him. He can attack only a single ground unit at a time.
Electro Dragon
Electro Dragon’s housing space is 30 and movement speed is 12. It’s an air troop. It has very high damage, high HP but very low attack speed. It can target ground & air units. When it shoots the nearest building with his lightning attack, the lightning bounces to upto four more buildings if there is no distance or 1 tile distance between the buildings.
Yeti
Yeti’s housing space is 18 and movement speed is 12. Yeti carries a basket full of Yetimites. He attacks the nearest building with his hands from 0.8 tiles away. He can’t attack air units. Whenever Yeti takes damage, Yetimite comes out of the basket and targets the nearest defensive building. It jumps on the building from 2 tiles away. It deals 4x damage on the defensive buildings. It can attack the air units as well.
Dragon Rider
Dragon Rider is an air troop of 25 housing spaces and its movement speed is 20. It has high HP & damage. It only targets the defensive buildings. When you drop a dragon rider, it targets the nearest defensive building and fires cannonballs from 3 tiles away. When it is destroyed, it deals damage to the ground units in 2 tiles radius.

Minion
Minion is an air-unit. It’s housing space is 2 and movement speed is 32. It targets the nearest ground or air unit and throws some kind of dark elixir balls from its mouth from 2.5 tiles away. It is not detected by the seeking air mines.
Hog Rider
Hog Rider only targets and attacks the defensive buildings and ignores skeletons & heroes. He rides on a hog and has 24 movement speed. He also ignores the walls and jumps over them to go to the nearest defensive building.
Valkyrie
Valkyrie carries an axe. She targets the nearest buildings, goes between them and spins with the axe damaging all the units around her in 1 tile radius. Her housing space, movement speed and attacking range are 8, 24 and 0.5 tiles respectively.
Golem
Golem is the toughest ground troop in COC. He has very high HP but low movement speed. His housing space is 30 and only targets the defensive buildings. When it is destroyed, it deals damage to the buildings in 1.5 tiles radius and divides into 2-3 golemites. Each golemits has ⅕ HP & damage of the golem.
Witch
Witch’s housing space and movement speed both are 12. She attacks the nearest building with her projectile attacks from 4 tiles away. Her attack deals damage in the area of 0.3 tile radius. She also summons 4 skeletons every 7 seconds. Skeletons have 24 movement speed and attack the nearest unit.
Lava Hound
Lava Hound is an air-unit and also the toughest. It only targets the air defenses and when all air defenses are destroyed, it targets the nearest defensive building. It has very low damage. Whec it is killed, it explodes, deals damage and is divided into multiple lava pups. Lava pups attack the nearest ground or air unit. They have all the attributes same as the level 1 minions.
Bowler
Bowler’s housing space is 6 and movement speed is 14. He throws boulders at the nearest building from 3 tiles away. That boulder hits the target and then bounces in the straight line and lands at the 3rd tile damaging the second unit. He can also throw boulders over the walls. His boulders have area splash damage.
Ice Golem
Ice Golem’ housing space is 15 and movement speed is 12. It only targets the defensive buildings. When you drop it, it goes to the nearest defensive building, attacks it and reduces its attacking speed. When it is destroyed, it freezes all the buildings & troops in a 7.5 tiles radius.
Headhunter
Headhunter is the only troop in COC who only targets the heroes no matter where they are in the base. She can jump over the walls. Her housing space is 6 and movement speed is 32. She attacks the nearest hero with her poisoned cards from 3 tiles away. Her attacks have 4x damage on heroes and decrease the target’s movement speed & attacking speed. When all heroes are eliminated, she targets the nearest building.
Troops in Builder Village
Builder Base has 11 types of troops. You can train only one type of troops per camp and the units of that troop in a camp depends on its level. It is pre-defined so you can’t change the units in a camp. All the troops can be upgraded to level 9.

Super Barbarian
Super Barbarian has the movement speed of 12. His ability is Rage which increases his damage, movement & attack speed for a short period of time when deployed. He targets the nearest building and attacks from 0.4 tiles away.
Sneaky Archer
Sneaky Archer’s spring weight is 2 and movement speed is 24. Her ability is Clock that makes her invisible for a short period of time in the starting. She targets the nearest building and attacks it with her bow from 3.5 tiles away. She can shoot over the walls.
Boxer Giant
Boxer Giant only targets the defensive buildings. His spring weight is 8 and movement speed is 12. His ability is Power Punch. His first punch always deals so much damage. Upgrade the boxer giant in the laboratory to increase his HP, damage and ability damage.
Beta Minion
Beta Minion is an air troop. It’s movement speed is 32. It targets the nearest building and throws some elixir type balls from its mouth from 4 tiles away to deal damage. It’s ability is Long Shot that lets it use a few attacks from 8 tiles away. You can upgrade it to increase the damage, HP and ability attacks.
Bomber
Bomber’s spring weight is 4 and movement speed is 16. It throws bombs at the nearest building or wall from 3.5 tiles away. The bombs deal 15x damage to the walls and have area damage dealing damage in the 1.6 tiles radius. Its ability is Big Bomb. Its first bomb always deals massive damage.
Baby Dragon
Baby Dragon is an air troop. It throws fire-balls at the nearest building from 2.5 tiles away. It’s ability is called Tantrum. When it has no air unit in its 4.5 tiles radius, its damage and movement speed is increased.
Cannon Cart
Cannon Cart is a cannon on the cart. It shoots cannonballs at the nearest building from 4.5 tiles away. It shoots over the ball as long as the target is in its range. Its ability is Last Stand. When the cart is destroyed, the cannon gets a temporary HP that drops over time. During this time, it can shoot the targets, but can’t move.
Night Witch
Night Witch targets the nearest building and attacks it with her projectile attacks from 4 tiles away. She also summons bats after a certain period of time. The bats are air units with the movement speed of 57 and targets the nearest building. Her ability is Bat Swarm that transforms her into multiple bats when she dies.
Drop Ship
Drop Ship is also an air troop with high HP and movement speed of 12. It flies to the nearest building and drops 3 skeletons on the ground. Skeletons attack the nearest building and their movement speed is 24. Drop ship’s ability is Skeleton Burst. When it is destroyed, it deals massive damage to the buildings and spawns multiple skeletons.
Super P.E.K.K.A
Super P.E.K.K.A is a ground troop with very high damage as well as HP and her spring weight is 25. It attacks the nearest building with her sword from 0.8 tile away. Her ability is Overcharge. When she is killed, she explodes and deals massive damage to the surrounding buildings.
Hog Glider
Hog Glider is an air troop as well as ground unit. When you deploy it, Hog Rider uses a glider and flies to the nearest defensive building with the 24 movement speed and crashes into it dealing huge damage. Then the hog rider uses its hammer to attack the building on the ground. Hog rider’s movement speed is 32. He can jump over the walls. His ability is Stunning Glide. When he crashes into a building, he stuns the building for a short period.
